Causes For Animals (Singapore)

Causes for Animals (Singapore) Limited is an animal welfare charity set up to support the needs of local animal welfare in Singapore.

Adoption Centre:
CAS has secured kennel space at Seletar and Tengah to help save the street dogs who are losing their homes and face the threat of culling. These kennels can house dogs and cats, and include two isolation kennels for new dogs, as well as dogs staying under the Trap, Neuter and Release Programme. There are also two run spaces and a large training ground for the dogs. These kennels will be used to help rescue, rehabilitate and rehome our dogs and cats.

Stray management:
CAS traps street dogs and cats using humane methods such as step traps, play pens and netting. These street animals are then brought to our partner clinic, Animal World Veterinary Clinic for overnight observation. They are sterilised the subsequent day, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and also placed on anti-tick medication. The animals are given two days of recovery or longer, depending on surgical site recovery, before they are returned to the area they live in. CAS keeps some of these animals for rehoming, based on their temperament.

Food Drives:
CAS’s food drives help feed over 1000 dogs and 150 cats.

Medical Assistance:
CAS provides help and assistance to groups, organisations and individuals who need emergency and long term medical help for their animals.
