About Us

Lil’ Brushes was founded in Feb 2020 as a not-for-profit initiative to help the less fortunate in the community.

It is the brainchild of siblings, Zach & Sara Edwards, aged 10 and 8 respectively, who would love to make use of their skills to help others in need.

Lil’ Brushes aims to launch a new project every year, with 100% of net proceeds pledged to our chosen beneficiaries.

Lil’ Brushes’ 1st project was launched in Feb 2020. Zach and Sara painted 8 designs and printed these onto the covers of notebooks. With the support of all the kind aunties and uncles out there, all our notebooks were sold out, raising over S$2,500 for our chosen beneficiary, the Very Special Choir. The Very Special Choir is made up of children with special needs like Autism, Down Syndrome and Global Development Delay, etc.

Lil’ Brushes launched our 2nd project in 2021. 6 designs were lovingly hand-painted by Zach and Sara, then printed on reusable facemasks. Our first batch of facemasks were sold out, raising over $980 for Kaleidoscope. Kaleidoscope hopes to make a difference to vulnerable groups like special needs children, persons suffering from mental wellness challenges, the elderly, single parents and low-income families, through training, outreach and other events.

Lil’ Brushes’ second batch of facemasks were sold out too, raising over $5,100 for Causes for Animals (Singapore) Limited, an animal welfare charity set up to support the needs of local animal welfare in Singapore. CAS aims to save the lives of the homeless and unwanted companion animals of Singapore.

Lil’ Brushes embarked on our 3rd project in Apr 2022. Zach and Sara painted 4 gorgeous designs and printed these on reusable tote bags. All our tote bags were sold out, raising over $8,200 for Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Children’s Cancer Foundation is a social service agency which provides children with cancer, as well as their families, with the medical, emotional and social support in their battle against the life threatening illness. Over the years, CCF has helped more than 3500 children and their families at different stages of the illness and recovery.

Lil’ Brushes’ 4th project was launched in July 2023. Zach and Sara painted 4 lovely designs which were printed onto foldable shopping bags. These were all sold out too, raising over $11,300 for Singapore Cheshire Home.

Singapore Cheshire Home was founded in 1957 to provide a residential home for the severely physically disabled who have no or limited means, and whose families, if any, are unable to provide adequate care. SCH’s residents suffer mainly from muscular dystrophy/ atrophy, spastic, cerebral palsy, deformities, spinal/ head injuries, etc.

We look forward to your continuous support, and together, we can make a difference!
